32 miles to Oswego

Today we completed the Eric Canal, Locks E23 and Oswego Locks E1-E8.  We did a total of around 30 locks this past week.  Below a picture of me standing in Winter Harbors heated dry storage facility, they pack this thing full during the winter.  Cant wait to come back to this marina, spend some time and find a way to buy owner Toms sweet sexy 1972 53 Hatteras that is for sale.  Its got 12/71 Detroit’s that are naturally aspirated, still pushes her 18-20kts.  service life one those motors is 15-20,000 hours and it only has 100 hours SMOH (since major over haul)  Bow thruster, new paint and a classic classic ride.  It will be a head turner and look great in front of my marina.  There is nothing like these older Hatteras boats, upkeep is a labor of love.  We arrived at Oswego Marina this evening, it’s a perfect stopping point before you cross Lake Ontario.  They sell fuel and have a nice ship store, dock master is accommodating and there are many businesses in walking distance.  You can watch the charter boats come and go from this location.  Tomorrow we will cross Lake Ontario from Oswego to Trenton and check into Canada customs,  check out the video below.
